I love working in pastel for my animal portraits because it can be so versatile and full of life but also lets me capture the tiniest details, from the glint in an eye, to the texture of fur, while keeping a soft, natural feel.
I only use the highest-quality soft pastel or pencil pastel onto a sanded canvas. This holds the colour beautifully and allows me to build up rich, realistic layers. It’s the perfect medium to bring personality and warmth into every piece. The quality of the materials I use will last for a lifetime.
All my work goes for professional framing, to help preserve the piece. I request art glass so there are no reflections to distract from viewing the art. Framing is included in the price.
To keep your artwork at its best, handle carefully to avoid dust fall and avoid hanging in areas of strong sunlight.
